Great service and product. This flyscreen is easy to install and works really well keeping Flys out of the house. The cats are still able to get out their cat flap too. Much sturdier fabric then what you can buy at Bunnings or Mitre 10. Highly recommended

I needed a simple to install, simple to use product, to combat incessant flies coming in through our upstairs balcony in Brisbane. The door being open is essential for the all important breeze, but the flies were unwelcome. Magnetic options were not ideal, and traditional fly screen mesh blocks the breeze. Amazingly, the dangling chains block no breeze, do not block the view much as the loops in the chain are quite open, and not a single fly!!! And I can just unhook it and take it down if I do not want it there all the time. Also amazingly, this product was delivered in just a few days, in the days before Christmas. Tick, tick, tick. Highly recommend the product and company for prompt service.
I have ordered 3 screens from the magnetic door company. They are on the outside of my house and I leave them up all summer. They last about 2 years with the wear and tear but I would recommend them - they keep the mosquitos and flies out and are simple to use and do not detract from my view

Why would I need extra frame?
Almost always to make a second, smaller screen out of a large kit you have already cut down. Extra frame, extra magnetic strip and a corner set together turn the offcut into a working screen.
How much do I need?
Add up the four sides of the opening and allow a little for the cuts. A 50 x 50 centimetre window needs about 2 metres; a 100 x 100 window needs 4.
How is it sold?
By the metre. Order the number of metres you need.
What colours are there?
Black, white and brown, the same three the screens come in.
How do I cut it?
A cutting blade or a strong pair of scissors. No tradesman tools.
Does it come with the magnetic profile in it?
It is the same section supplied with the magnetic window screen kit, so it works with the magnetic strip the same way the original does.
Do I need corner pieces as well?
Yes, if you are building a new screen. Frame alone does not make a rectangle; the four corner pieces are what join it, and they are sold as a set with two wind clips.
Do I need magnetic strip as well?
Yes, for the window frame side, unless you are re-using a strip that is already there. It is sold by the metre on its own page.
Will it match my existing screen?
Yes, if you order the same colour. It is the same section.
Can I paint it?
We do not recommend it. Paint on the profile puts a layer between the magnets and weakens the hold. Order the closest colour instead.
Can I use it to repair a damaged screen?
Yes. If one side of the frame is cracked or bent, replace that side rather than the whole screen.
How do I join two lengths?
At a corner, with a corner piece. Mid run joins are not what the section is designed for, so cut a single length for each side.
Is it rigid or flexible?
It is a PVC section: rigid enough to hold a rectangle, soft enough to cut with scissors.
Does it come with mesh?
No. This is the frame only. Mesh is sold as a cut piece or by the roll.
What length are the pieces?
It is sold by the metre, so order the total metres your job needs.
Will it fit a window with a shallow reveal?
The screen system installs on a depth of about 10 millimetres, which is what lets it sit behind a blind or a roller shutter.
Is it suitable outdoors?
It is the same section used on the screens, made for a window frame and everyday weather.
Can I order half a metre?
It is sold in whole metres. Round up: an extra metre is cheap insurance against a bad cut.
Does the colour affect the price?
No. All three colours are the same price per metre.
Can I use it with the velcro edged screen?
No. The velcro screen has no rigid frame, which is the point of it. This section belongs to the magnetic screen.
What if I cut a piece too short?
Order another metre. That is why it is sold this way rather than as a fixed kit.
Do you sell the wind clips separately?
They come in the corner pieces set, two per set.
Can I collect it rather than have it delivered?
No. We are an online store and everything is delivered.
What does delivery cost?
Delivery is free anywhere in Australia on orders of $100 or more. Below that it is a flat $27.50, which is also the express rate, so one price covers the order however many items are in it.

What people use it for
